My family moved to Calera in October 2014.  I had my son in a daycare in Hoover before the move. I had planned on keeping him enrolled there since it was convenient to my work.  However, that school decided to close its doors without any notice on November 11, 2014.   Anytime you have to search for a new child care center it is nerve racking, especially when you had no time to prepare.  I, like many parents went by the school only to find a signs showing the center was closed and multiple signs from other child care center offering waived enrolling fees.  This is where School for Amazing Kids, Calera became a part of our lives.

I first contacted School for Amazing Kids in November 2014 to see if they have any opening for my son’s age group.  Thank God they did!!   With the help of Mrs. LaToya I had my son enrolled with no issue.  She was very thorough with the enrollment process and the school tour.  At first sight you can typically tell if a child care center is good.  This center is always spotless, it does NOT have that nasty daycare smell (some of you know what that means).  They have an excellent security system as well as a daily check in/out system.  I LOVE the fact that they will not accept any cash payment!  Hands down, they have an excellent directing staff.

Now, let’s talk about the teachers.  I think the teachers at this center are wonderful.  They each have classroom schedules and they follow them.  Since my son has been enrolled, I have seen great improvement in his learning.  He is doing great with his color, number and even potty training.  Each holiday and birthday the classrooms have a party.  They also have a spotlight each week for the students.  I am very pleased with this center and would recommend School for Amazing Kids, Calera to anyone looking for good, quality care along with a clean center.

I absolutely love this daycare.  My child has been attending Morning Star since he was 2.  If I have ever had any issues they have always been very helpful and resolve the situation. I would recommend this daycare to anyone.

School for Amazing Kids, Calera is a wonderful daycare.  I have 1 boy that currently attends the School for Amazing Kids and one who left 4k in August to start Kindergarten.  The staff does a great job at not only teaching the children, but making it FUN!  Because of the wonderful staff in 4K, my kindergartener is way ahead in his class and is currently reading on a 1st/2nd grade level. I would and have recommended School for Amazing Kids, Calera to anyone who is looking for not just a daycare, but a preschool for their child.

My daughter started attending School for Amazing Kids, Calera 10 months ago and we have been extremely happy. We have grown to know and love the teachers there and were welcomed with open arms. It is so comforting to know that my child is in great hands while we are at work. Many of the teachers have become just like family to us and are so kind and caring. The education that she is given at the School for Amazing Kids has been wonderful in getting her prepared for 5K next fall. We are so thankful for School for Amazing Kids, Calera and their staff.

We have been very impressed with the care our daughter has received at School for Amazing Kids, Calera.  She was a bit apprehensive the first few days and then became very excited to go to “school” every morning.  The teachers all show such great love for these children.  It is much more than just a job – it is a calling and takes very special people to work in a daycare.  Our daughter has been attending for 10 months now and we couldn’t be happier.  She is learning so much and that carries over at home.   We are so thankful for the Christian values that are instilled in the children that attend School for Amazing Kids, Calera.

We have had such a wonderful experience at School for Amazing Kids, Calera. Our daughter absolutely loves it there! The teachers are well educated and very involved in the children’s education. The curriculum has helped our daughter learn so much in order to prepare for 5K. The staff are so kind hearted and loving and hav made us feel so welcome. The school offers many after school activites for the kids such as parents night out multiple times a year and the fall festival in October. After many recommendations, we are very pleased that we chose School for Amazing Kids, Calera for our daughter.

My little tike has been attending School for Amazing Kids, Calera for nine months. To say that he loves it is an understatement. Each morning he wakes up saying “go school” and is disappointment when it is not a school day. When he sees the building he starts singing “school, school, school, yeah!” He loves going to “school” and we love that!

My 2 ½ year old toddler is ready to take on the world! And School for Amazing Kids, Calera supports his desire for discovery and need for independence, while also providing a sense of safety and security. In his present class, the teachers actively partner with the parents to help your child learn important independent life skills, such as potty training and hand washing. I really like the balance they have with teaching: Child-Initiated: the children play and explore throughout their day, and they develop an understanding of their world. And Teacher-Guided: Teachers use a developmentally appropriate instructional framework to help stretch children’s minds by demonstrating, asking questions, encouraging and guiding. My child has been going to the School for Amazing Kids, Calera for over 1 1/2 years. I love it that every day he comes home with a new art project he did, or singing new song, sharing something new he’s learned. I know at School for Amazing Kids, Calera my child is learning and thriving, happy and safe.

I had such a hard time even thinking about my grandson going to day care. We had all struggled to get him to eat and thrive after being born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate. So, I would go and just look at the monitors in the lobby to see how he was doing every day. The staff never made me feel “crazy” or overprotective. They would give me updates and let me stay as long as I needed, giving me tissue to dry my tears. After a few days, I saw a change in my grandson and I changed also. We were both enjoying his time at day care. He has been taken care of so kindly and lovingly by everyone. He has made new friends and day care has helped his speech tremendously. What a blessing this has been to our whole family.

One of the most important things we have discovered regarding sending our children to daycare, is management of the center. I find the caregivers to be of utmost importance, however the directors of the facility ensure the quality and management of the staff and thus their diligence is paramount. We feel that the facility directors at School for Amazing Kids, Calera are very cognizant of the importance of this, as the majority of the teachers my children have been exposed to have been wonderful; yet we did have a couple of less ideal experiences. In these cases, I took my concerns to the directors, and they were quick to react and address the issues. I feel this is crucial to the safety and well-being of the children, and feel that my concerns and opinions are always considered. This relationship of trust with the management at School for Amazing Kids, Calera has kept us loyal to the center and very satisfied with our experience and the care of our children.
